Coupon Queen

{Yup, these are my coupons}
Coming back from a month of no mail, I took it upon myself to clip every coupon in the stack I sorted through when I got home.

Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond always have awesome coupons, especially just before the start of the school year. CVS even has one out right now for a FREE Razor! FREE!! And it just so happens that Target has a coupon for the replacement blades for the same one.

I also secretly snagged the oh-so-coveted Victoria's Secret coupons... oopsies. Sorry Sarah. And mom. They have a Free PINK Tote Bag with purchase one also.. allllll miiiine hehe

Anywho, couponing is a great way to save money when packing for study abroad because it helps you get what you need a great discounts. After all,

{My Spirit Animal Alana, aka Honey Boo Boo}

With that motto in mind, I headed off to Bed, Bath & Beyond to get a microfiber towel. Microfiber towels are awesome for traveling because:
  • they dry in 1/2 the time of a regular towel
  • they are super thin but really, really soft
  • they help with hand washed laundry (you can roll up your wet clothes in a micro towel and it will help absorb the water, or so I've read)
I have been scouring Amazon for one that is a reasonable price but all of them are in the $20+ range. Boo. However....Bed, Bath & Beyond has them for only $5.99!! WOOP WOOP! I got one large bath towel and matching hand towel in a really pretty Aqua Blue color.

Pure Brand Microfiber towel from Bed, Bath & Beyond
* Travel Tip: My big suggested that I bring my own towel and face towel in my carry on bag when I leave for Italy. Although it will take up a bit of space, she said it is so so worth it to have your own clean, fresh towel for when you arrive. After what will be a 15 hour plane ride and full day of traveling in gross germy airports, I know the first thing I'll want to do when I get there is take a shower and get clean. She said that when she went, they had to go out and buy towels because not all housing accommodations abroad have towels on hand. (Not to mention, I am not totally sure I'll trust the hostel towels either).

I learned the hard way last time how important it is to bring a change of clothes, underwear and toiletries with you in your carry on... When you get all the way to Italy and the airport officials say that your bag was left in Paris when you got on your connecting flight you won't get your bag for FOUR MORE DAYS. Yes, FOUR. Your airplane clothes get really nasty when you have been wearing them around the city, traveling for four days straight...

Hence, I will be packing a mini wardrobe with me wherever I go, towel included.

25 days til I leave!!! Ahh!!

Hope this helps! Tomorrow we conquer Target.
Devotissimo Suo,
M
